What a show, starting with our two young girls Amelia in her first skills bout for the club finally getting out and doing very very well also grace Holland in her second skills bout both girls doing well especially after being poorly in the build up . Next young Kai McNally Kai had been ill for 2 weeks just before the show with a chest infection so missed a lot of training sessions but gave a great performance against a much more experienced lad and bigger lad just ran short on fitness but did himself proud . Then next up young aj who unfortunately just couldn’t seem to get going yesterday but all learning well done aj . Next up young kailem Harkus who I thought was outstanding yesterday to be honest I had kailem winning every round but the judges seen it different giving it to the other lad on a split. Next was the typhoon jimmy hall who after another serious knee injury bounced back and put in an absolutely brilliant performance and a unanimous win and also best junior boxer well done Jimmy lad . Up next lake wood lake has also been ill with chest infection and missed alot of sessions and was in a tough bout but his opponent kept hitting him in the back of the head so was disqualified well done lake a wins a win mate . Next up abi Hewitt against a girl from Scotland unfortunately abi just couldn’t get going but she’s done brilliant dropping 6 kg over the weeks and she has also been very poorly on antibiotics missing a lot of sessions. Abi will bounce back I have no doubt . Next Joey mcartney in a great bout Joey is one of the kids who never misses a session Joey was brilliant yesterday getting himself a well deserved win keep up the good work Joey . Next up big mason manco in what was an absolute belta of a fight both lads standing toe to toe landing big shots the crowd was on there feet it was definitely the most entertaining bout I’ve seen in a while Mason coming away with the win. Well done mason .next up Connor Humphrey’s Connor was brilliant yesterday sticking to the long shots and combinations anyone who knows Connor knows how much this means to him he really needed that win well done mate .next up shay robson in a rematch with the lad from mainsforth shay was on him from the start giving him a standing 8 in the first round then 2 more in the second round getting the win via referee stoppage well done shay lad next up Harry Bailey Harry is another one who’s been ill on the week of the fight but gave it his best shot and doing well Harry always comes to fight but just ran out of steam but Harry will now concentrate on mays show . Next up Charlie mills in a barn stormer these lads went at it from the first bell to the last bell unfortunately Charlie come away with a points loss but should be very proud as he was in with a very schooled kid who had a lot of previous kick-boxing experience and was a very tidy boxer well done paddy lad I’m proud of you mate keep it going mate your improvments are there to see mate keep the faith . Then last up in the main event big tom hegarty in with the talented Oliver male from Bridlington c.y.p both lads started fast in a3x3 min bout and both lads landing good shots but it turned into a scrappy affair with tom getting his head pulled down a lot and getting hit a lot round the back of the head .tom wasn’t aloud to settle into his slick boxing and was forced into a fight but tom gave a great account of himself yesterday and will move on to his bout in April in whitby. Well done to every boxer on the show you were all brilliant. We have another show in may so stay in the gym and keep the weight down .
