Winning at boxing is so satisfying but winning away from home in front of a partisan crowd is a different feeling all together. George 'Gypsy Boy' Allen won via unanimous decision last night. He boxed to instructions against a bullish opponent, controlling him with the jab and setting up his back hand. A well deserved victory,

Forest Hall had two boxing down in Leeds tonight, Lewis Hall first up against Kiah Mason (Halifax) boxed very well didn't get the decision, opposition coach and boxer plus head official all apologised, take a lot from it. Top of the bill Sonny McDonnell against huge home favourite Ellis Ward (Leeds), absolute barn stormer which got a lengthy ovation. Sonny taking a well deserved points win.

Cracking little bout down in Sheffield for Nathan Maddison, in with a strong kid Amir Abakarov (Steel City), a very competitive bout where Nathan showed his metal, very proud of his performance, some good exchanges, where both landed good shots, good inside work from Nathan, listened and improved in each round, taking a loss on points but should be very proud, massive improvements, even from round to round.

Young Bronson Wilson lost a split decision tonight down in Sheffield he boxed well improved as the bout went on against a nice tidy boxer Adam Rahman from steel City gym I wouldnt argue with the result it was a fair decision the right lad won well done to both lads for a good display of Boxing the ref never had to step in once in the entire bout they just got on with it.

MANCHESTER Tuesday 25th April

Two  good performances down in Manchester, up first Liam Copping against the first Southpaw he has ever boxed  over 3x3s, he was in it all the way but the lad was slick and Liam struggled with the southpaw stance a bit, good 3rd round, lost a unanimous decision in a good learning bout.
Next up Ryan Balsillie also doing 3x3s, gave away some experience but had an absolute back and forth war with a very strong and tough kid, both lads took and landed good shots but Ryan worked the body excellently to slow him down and Won by split decision, 2nd win in 4 days.

Travelled up to Scotland today with Dionne Mannion for a bout against a Scottish International
It was a fantastic performance and a strong unanimous win.
Awarded the best away fighter on the show.

Well it was another showstopper last night in Huddersfield on the gladiators show a very close bout it was 1 rd a piece going into the last round and young mendez just edged the last round fair decision both lads have the return on our show on 3rd May well done Aaron you left it all in the ring like always you never let me or your club down you always give 100%

Two excellent well matched bouts down in Bognor Regis, Leo Geddis up first in a very close contest, boxed very well and showed excellent footwork countering, all 3 rounds could have gone either way and finished with Leo losing a split decision, couldn't argue either way.
Next up Nathan Madison who was in a very high paced battle, landing some lovely straight shots and also uppercuts on the inside, took a few good shots himself but he won every round for me, winning via Split Decision.

We travelled to Hull. WIth Tommy Hunt New to box 2 times Dutch national elite champion with over double tommys bouts. We lost on a 3-2 split but this was tommys first 3 min rounds. and he showed exactly why he deserves all the credit he gets. Boxed amazing and showed some quality skill.

11TH MARCH

2 excellent performances tonight from Leo Geddes and Nathan Maddison, both listened and boxed their best yet, Leo controlled the ring with some quality footwork and boxed great behind his Jab, winning comfortably although via a split decision Nathan equally boxed behind good strong straight shots, giving his lad a count in the first, opponent came back aggressively in 2nd and 3rd but only in bursts Nathan landed more clean and strong shots, it was close but he deserved the win, however he was on the wrong side of another split decision, excellent bout from him and opponent. Well done to both lads, very proud as always

Two girls out tonight . Both boxed really really well first up destiny ditchburn boxed amazing but got a home town 3-2 split loss . Next up Ayls Moffat who is improving with every contest . A tough girl but beautiful boxing won the day . Gritty and digging in . To come to Glasgow and box in front of a baying crowd was a hard ask for grown men never mind a 13 year old and a 15 year old .

Well just in after a long drive home from Hull but it was worth it isaac won 3rd rd stoppage against a tall durable lad but isaac kept the pressure on and had a good win well done to both lads it was a good contest and thanks seb for the invite it was good seeing you

Hari Bailey - won an exciting & very entertaining bout against Dylan McShane from Leeds ABC, both lads fought bravely & showed good skill with Hari getting the unanimous decision.
Hari showed how he has progressed not just in technique but in strength & ringcraft against a dangerous opponent.
He listened to coaches (Graeme & Darren) throughout & put into practice what he's recently learnt in the gym he did exactly what he was asked to do, incredibly proud of Hari tonight, great performance.
Credit to both lads for a cracking bout which thrilled the crowd from start to finish.

Good win tonight for Nathan Maddison down in Coventry, listened well and used good basics of footwork and straight shots to win every round and a Unanimous Decision. In the last few weeks Nath has had skills bouts on the home show, in Birmingham, in London and now his first scored bout in Coventry, the improvement and development has been great to see well done Champ.

Next up Kobe Skedd boxed Finlay Baker from host club Henry’s, Kobe boxed well behind the jab against a shorter come forward pressure fighter inning by 3rd round RSC.
Next up Henry Allison boxed Jack Shaw from Firefight & won by DSQ in 2nd round.
Last up was William Howe boxing Arlo Stephens from York for the Northern area super heavyweight title. William came away with a unanimous decision In a thrilling toe to toe contest to make it four wins out of four.

Shildon travelled with 4 boxers to Essex to box on Longs show in Billericay today, first up was Kenzie Watson having his 3rd skills bout and boxed very well, had it been a scoring bout he'd have probably edged it, next up was Dylan Wilkinson he struggled to land the cleaner shots against a much taller opponent however never stopped working but unfortunately lost unanimously, the 3rd bout saw Max Pickering from Bishop Auckland a late substitution for Kenny Beal who had to withdraw through illness box a crafty southpaw loosing the 1st round, Max then found his range winning the bout by a split decision, finally Shay Glaister boxing also boxing a much taller opponent struggled to land the cleaner shots and lost the first round however after instructions from his corner Shay took the 2nd, and after his opponent received a caution in the 3rd for holding Shay took the contest by way of split decision. Thanks to Billy and all at Longs abc for the hospitality shown, now we begin the long journey back home.

Another good win for Cha Choudhury today down in Wakefield on the White Rose BC show, got off to a great start with a big 1st round, good start to 2nd but opponent came back strong after a brief stop for Dr to check his nose, Tra was tired in 3rd but listened well and boxed behind his Jab to earn a deserved Split Decision Win.

Mixed night results but 4 cracking performances. Logan Ginnelly first up against a home fighter Dylan Barnes Ginnellyn losing a split  Next up Ewan Hall up against a much more experienced John Price (Alliance) former national finalist, Hall stuck to the script winning a hard earned points win. Lewis Ginnelly up against very popular home opponent Adam Barnes  Ginnelly winning by WRSC1  after a very heavy knock down. Last up the entertainer James Caris in another entertaining bout against Luke Wharton (Alliance) Caris edged out on points in flip of a coin bout.

Everton Red Triangle show. First up we had Tye Noble having his last skills  bout, best performance yet from him. Next up Sam Coglan winning unanimous with another top performance. Last but not least Joseph Dowson up against a tri nations gold medallist. Joseph lost on a split decision we thought he did enough but a great contest between two top kids.

Kenton ABC travelled up to Glasgow for the Shire home show where Billy Atkinson boxed Adam Gallagher (Antonine) Scottish national champion and tri nation finalist. Billy getting the nod on a 4-1 split.

 Springhill abc show in Scotland friday 18th november

Bronson Butt 

Massive improvement from Bronson Butt against John Diegan From Springhill. Bronson  had to eat up for this bout and he still gave 2kg away on the scales but boxed excellently, a slightly shocking unanimous loss but he knows the score and he isn't disappointed and neither am I, nothing but possitives from this, and fair play to his opponent who came up to Bronson and  said he thought he had won, very nice lad, great bout all in all and we will get a return in England.

Excellent performance from Tralee Choudhuri against a tall awkward opponent, good controlled aggression going forwards and landing good combos, changing levels, earning him a 2nd around RSC (ref stops contest) after 2x 8 counts. Best he has boxed by far.

Sam Gray took on the lad who won the nationals weight above Ivor Lee (Manor) down Sheffield and came away with unanimous Win.
You only get out what you put in. The real deal remains unbeaten in 8 .. but has to remain focused for another tough one on our home show. .

Day 2 of road trip down in Essex on the @teamhodbox show, 3 well matched bouts with mixed results. Jayden Leonard up first In a cracking contest, very close and I couldn't pick a winner, his opponent was a slick southpaw but Jayden was aggressive and controlled the center of the ring Winning via Split Decision, 2 in a row now for the J - Man. Bronson Butt up next, not his day today, got out worked and dropped a unanimous decision but knows what he needs to do to get back to winning ways. Lastly Tra Choudhuri having his 3rd bout in 7 days, in a very technical contest, first time facing a southpaw, for me I thought he nicked the first 2 rounds, not alot happened but he was controlling the centre and forcing any exchanges, lost the 3rd round, I thought we might have got it but he lost a unanimous decision.

Friday 11th November Carlisle

Last night saw us taking a road trip to Carlisle with Adam and Oliver both taking bouts on the road. Mixed results with Oliver dusting the cobwebs off getting his first bout back. Showed his skill and talent in the last round with some cracking combinations and foot work. But left it a little late to get going. Narrowly losing out on a close points decision. We learn and we go again. Then we had Adam up. Just a week after his fight last week, which he Learned from and didn't make the same mistake. Left it all in the ring and was rewarded with a unanimous points win.

Leo Geddes, Nathan Madison and Todd Lamb all boxing in Skills bouts, all boxed well and showed continued improvement with each bout. Then we had Pria Kaldani having her first scoring bout, this girl is going to be special, worked her way inside with good combos and catch counters, winning unanimously in a very good competitive bout. Finally Harvey Wright boxing well behind straight shots and using good feet and ring position to box his way to a Unanimous decision.
