Robbie Alexander (Ryton) wins the 91kg+ Championship Belt against Rob Varey (Marden) Mard3n showb7th March.
Chris Okoronkwo went against Hartlepool’s Rhys Hopkins for the 86kg development belt.
The first round Chris was dominating giving Rhys 2 standing 8 counts, we thought it might have been all over within the 1st but Rhys showed tremendous heart and strength and came back strong from some brilliant shots.
The next two rounds were a lot closer with both boxers going toe to toe and offering each other everything that they had.
Both of these lads deserve the highest praise for putting on a spectacular show in a brilliant contest.
